Product box design standards are a set of rules and guidelines that we use to maintain consistency with our products. This ensures that our desired look and feel is maintained throughout all the product boxes.

The importance of design standards is to provide customers with a sense of familiarity and trust when they’re buying their product keys from us. They help us to keep our branding consistent across all the products, which helps customers identify our brand more easily.

The Keys.Express Product Box #

The upper part is always white with the Keys.Express logo on the top left of the product box, always in the same spot. There is a big main title which is right-aligned (e.g. Windows 11) at the top right of the box. The top and bottom of the box has always the color: Red #BF3436 (R:191 G:52 B:54)

There is a subheading which has a smaller font than the main title. (e.g. Professional). This subheading can have another color. It doesn’t need to have another color necessarily, just if it is beneficial for box design. Let’s say the product itself is known to have a yellow color (e.g. Norton) then it’s beneficial to have a subheading which is yellow. The left side of the box with the brand name “Keys.Express” has the color of the product box, which is also the color of the subheading. The bottom half on the left side with the legal text should always stay white.

By looking at multiple boxes at once, it can be seen that the branding looks consistent and no box sticks out by being fully colored or other anomalies.

Other variant with Graphical Elements at the Lower Half of the Box #

There is another way to design product boxes which can be mostly found for the USB variants:

Only the lower half is colored. That is another way to design the product box. Here is another example of a box that has the graphical element left-aligned. If it looks good, the graphical element can also be in the middle of the lower half of the box.
